Jacaranda Fly Fishing Club members, do you remember the magical evening back in 2017 when we combined the art of rod making and fly tying with the smooth sounds of jazz? Our “Sticks and Feathers” event was an unforgettable celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and camaraderie.

For those who were part of the club, you’ll recall the expert demonstrations by two renowned masters: Marc Petitjean, the legendary fly tyer, and Mareno Borriero, the exquisite bamboo rod maker. Marc mesmerized us with his intricate fly-tying techniques, while Mareno showcased the art and precision of crafting beautiful bamboo rods. Their expertise and passion inspired us all, creating an electric atmosphere filled with learning and appreciation.

Some jazz further enriched the atmosphere, providing the perfect backdrop for our hands-on activities and socializing. The blend of music, craftsmanship, and shared passion made the event memorable.

For our newer members, this event is a testament to our unique and vibrant community at the Jacaranda Fly Fishing Club. It’s a reminder of how we blend tradition with innovation, always finding new ways to enhance our fly fishing experience.

As we look back with fondness, let’s also look forward to future events that will continue to bring us together, celebrate our shared passions, and create more unforgettable memories.

Tight lines and warm regards,

Jacaranda Fly Fishing Club
